Foley Equipment started as a single store on the brick streets of Wichita, Kansas, in 1940 when Paul Foley, Sr. joined the Karcher-Wolter-Foley dealership. Today, Foley Equipment has grown into one of the region’s leading suppliers of construction equipment and expertise with nearly 1,000 employees in 19 locations across Kansas and northwest Missouri.
The history of Foley is the history of Kansas, the region, the people and the industries built by those people. From dusty back roads to I-70 and major infrastructure projects. From a small watershed management project to flood control and recreational reservoirs. From the local mall, housing development, hospital or factory to electrical power generation and energy production. No matter where you turn or travel in our region, Cat equipment sold and serviced by Foley has shaped the landscape and built communities.
From its original roots, Foley expanded its dealership in geographic reach and scope of products and service. The acquisitions of Ohlert and Roberts Tractor in the 1950s expanded the service territory to 49 counties in central and Western Kansas. In 1973, the business was passed to Paul “Skip” Foley, Jr. Skip grew the company by adding additional service and warehouse space as well as broadening the product line. In 1997, Ann Konecny, Skip’s daughter, became the president of the company her grandfather started. In 1998, the company changed its name from Foley Tractor to Foley Equipment to reflect expanded offerings from Caterpillar. With the acquisition of Martin Tractor in 2009 and Dean Machinery in 2012, the company grew again and now covers 144 counties across Kansas and northwest Missouri. Today, we are proud to still be third generation family-owned and operated. We remain hands-on in our approach to working with customers to find the right solutions to get the job done right.
In 2019 Foley Equipment recognized there was a genuine need for a network of service centers that didn’t just work on trucks, but worked with drivers and fleet managers on a higher level. RIG360 was born with a commitment to transparency and a promise to communicate early and often. Our goal is simple. We want to eliminate questions and provide you with more control.
Today, you’ll see our service bays filled with Freightliner, International, Peterbilt, Kenworth and every other brand you meet on the road every day. All makes. All models.
